Baptisms
Baptisms (or christenings) are a key step in the journey of the Christian life and at St Peter's we do our best to support adults, and both parents and children as they take this step.

We run three informal and relaxed evening sessions for parents to explore what infant baptism involves, and to prepare them for the service. Please contact the Church Office for the dates of the next series of baptism preparation groups.
Baptisms are special occasions of welcome and celebration within the church family, and so they take place as part of our normal morning worship. Baptism They are usually held on the third Sunday of the month.
Thanksgiving
Some parents wish to mark the birth of a child in church but do not want to make some of the promises involved in infant baptism. For these people we offer the option of a service of thanksgiving, also as part of our morning worship.
