Hi there! It’s back! The Connect Weekend Away 2008 is going to be even better! Whether you came along last year, or if you are new to s:cape, it will be great to have you join us this year for what promises to be an awesome weekend. The new booking forms are available now to download but we'll be giving them out at S-Cape and Fix over the next few weeks.
The weekend will be held at Youlbury Scout Camp, on the outskirts of Oxford. This is a great venue with bags of experience in hosting groups such as ours. They have their very own activities within the camp itself as well as, dorms, amazing grounds, camp fires and more! (www2.scouts.org.uk/sac/youth/youlbury.html)
The cost of the trip this year will be just £75 including all activities, food, transport and accommodation - as ever if money is an issue, pelase let us know so it does not stop you from coming on the trip.
Our guest speaker this year will be Mike Biddulph - leading sessions on what connecting means to him as a Christian. Mike used to be part of Ben’s first youth group and thought Ben was so good it inspired him to go into youth work himself! Mike currently works as part of the XLP project in Peckham in London; they lead the ‘Guns Down’ Project and he also works for Christ Church Peckham as their youth leader.
