Hothorpe 2010

Hothorpe 2010 is our church weekend away from
Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th April 2010.   

This will be a relaxing break with an opportunity to deepen relationships with others in the church family. Any one connected with St. Peter's and St. Mark's is very welcome-bring partners and children for a great weekend away together!

Information about Hothorpe 2010:

Our speakers for the weekend will be Bruce and Colleen Mounsey.

Bruce and Colleen have been in the U.K. for three and a half years and live in Sheffield. They came from New Zealand to assist  Bob and Mary Hopkins of Anglican Church Planting Initiatives (A.C.P.I), alongside whom they worked in St Helens, Merseyside from 1988-1992 in the School of Church Leadership.
For 12 years prior to being here they pastored a Methodist/Presbyterian Church in Gisborne, N.Z.
Colleen trained as a Primary Teacher and was a missionary in Taiwan for 7 years. She is trained in Spiritual Direction and enjoys creative activties. Bruce enjoys body surfing “when the waves are big and the water is warm”.
Under the Anglican "Fresh Expressions" team, Bruce and Colleen facilitate courses in Sheffield which encourage Christians to explore fresh thinking and different approaches to mission, and what it means to be Church in 21st Century.
